Eagle River Hike

Our last day in Juneau we decided to backpack 6 miles into a public use cabin...we never saw anyone on the trail and we had this place all to ourselves! the hike in was filled with the most beautiful wildflowers I have ever seen! I have posted only a few in this blog! We were welcomed by the old Porcupine, later he gnawed on the cabin post and we had to shew him off!
The whole 6 miles were filled with all kinds of ferns and Solomon seal everywhere!
Then the trail ended at Eagle Glacier! With Waterfalls off to the side...a beautiful Glacier lake
with the trusty Canada goose! The next day we hiked to the big water fall and back to Juneau! Still never saw anyone else! What a beautiful hike!
