Day 26, 27 June 25, 26

We are back from the backcountry.after three days...had a wonderful adventure...There are no trails in Denali. They let you out of a bus and you just hike in, find a spot to camp...Leave no trace ...no one will ever know where we camped... Our section (#10) was 50 square miles and they only allow six campers at a time so you hike and hike some more. No people. We saw lots of wildlife and amazing mountains. We saw Artic ground squirrels which just pop up all over the ground like that little machine you hit with hammers! We hiked upstream of a creek and looked up and there were Dall Sheep...then further up the trail Mell looked up and a hugh Caribou was standing less than 40 feet from us...We saw lots of bear footprints but didn't see a bear until we were on the bus back to the entrance...When we first got into the park we saw a moose with two calves...it was awesome

Tommorrow we will fly over Denali. I left our camera in the plane, will update pictures tommorrow.
