We have been in Yellowstone the past few days…without phone access or internet…so we have been seeing the geysers and paint pots, hot springs . We have been in hot weather on Monday. Tuesday a little cool. Then today cold with snow flurries !
We were hiking yesterday and got caught in a Thunder storm or I should say HALE STORM ! It hurt…good thing we had our rain coats to protect us ! Then today we were
Hiking and got caught in a thunder storm which turned into snow later in the evening.
We are staying tonight in the Old Faithful Inn which was built in 1902. It is very unique!
The old part of the building you share a bathroom down the hall. In the lobby the ceiling looks 80 to 100 feet tall. All is done like a log cabin…Its is very amazing ! The fireplaces are Hugh and stacked stone all the way to the ceiling.
We climbed more than 400 stairs today going to see the lower ridge waterfall when we realized neither of us had the camera ! Oh well, we have another picture from further away of it so we can pretend ! Early this morning I got to see "Old Faithful"
It reminded me of the faithfulness of God...always on time...He is never early and he is never Late! Always on Time !
Today we left Yellowstone and flew to Idaho Falls Idaho...more beautiful country..
We flew down a small valley next to Snake River. Snake river is in a small canyon
and we flew into it for a small distance...it was cool!
We are planning on staying the night...Mell has business here...Sometime today or tommorrow we are flying to the Husky Plant...where the make the Airplane we are flying...Just another detour on the way to Alaska ! We love and miss all...
